Shared computers

A field crew often shares one laptop. Each person can be an operator on it with their own settings, and UXDuck records who did what.

Operators

The operator you are acting as is at the foot of the sidebar. Choose it to switch to another operator, or choose New operator… to add one. Settings › Operators lists them, with rename and remove in each row's menu.

What is whose

  • Each operator's own: units and formats, map choices, shortcuts, telemetry tiles, saved layouts, chats with the AI, and their account sign-in. Signed in, these follow them to their other computers.
  • The computer's: links, vehicles, live telemetry, recordings, each vehicle's parameters, missions and history, and running simulations. Everyone at the computer sees the same vehicles.

Signing in

An operator who isn't signed in is a guest on this computer. Switching to another person signs the previous account out, so the next person never uses someone else's account; sign in again when you switch back.

Switching while flying

Release your controllers first, including keyboard control. Until then UXDuck refuses the switch and says so. Telemetry and recordings carry on through the switch.

Who did it

Each action keeps the name of the operator who did it, as it was then: renaming or switching later never changes it.

  • Settings › Logbook lists every flight on the computer with who flew it.
  • A vehicle's History shows each parameter change and command an operator made with their name, such as BATT_CAPACITY 3300 → 4000 · Ben.
