Check your running build with uxduck rpc call daemon/about. A build marked ground-testing supports simulations and ground testing only; a release date does not change the permissions of an already installed build.
A real vehicle is any vehicle not started from Simulated vehicle, including SITL you connect yourself.
What a ground-testing build allows
- Arms a real vehicle only after you confirm it is on the ground with its propellers off (Arm (propellers are off)).
- Refuses take-off, missions, guided flight, flying modes (such as AUTO and GUIDED) and controllers.
- Allows disarm, land, return to launch and hold, subject to the normal command confirmations.
Your own transmitter still controls it. UXDuck can also refuse a command for permission or connection reasons; read its receipt and the vehicle's Messages.
From a terminal
Copy the vehicle ID from uxduck rpc call vehicle/list:
uxduck command --vehicle VEHICLE_ID arm --ground-test
uxduck command --vehicle VEHICLE_ID disarm
Use these arming instructions only with the vehicle on the ground and its propellers off.
